With inspiration from the ocean and a love of the water and its creatures, I wanted my jewelry to have a pearl base and focus. I have always loved jewelry since I was a little girl, specifically earrings, as they have always been a staple to any outfit that I put on. I remember sitting around the living room one night, watching TV, as all my roommates knitted, painted, and crocheted, I remember thinking to myself – “What is something creative that I am passionate about?”
I recalled traveling to Solvang earlier that year and seeing some jewelry that I absolutely loved, but didn’t buy because it was too expensive. the pieces were absolutely stunning, so I took pictures simply because I loved them. Going back into my camera roll, I thought to myself, “I could make this.” With inspiration stemming from my love for jewelry, the ocean and its natural wonders, and previous pearl jewelry makers, I decided to build my own brand. Opening up my computer and going to Etsy, I started browsing jewelry making materials and different kinds of lustrous pearls from all over the world.
When creating this business, I decided to use my geographic location to my advantage, as I live in Isla Vista. Selling to girls in my college town has been such a rewarding experience as not only am I making a product that I love, but I get the chance to see other people wearing their pieces and enjoying it themselves. In essence, my creative process in making pearl jewelry is a harmonious blend of inspiration, meticulous craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of pearls. Each piece is a testament to my dedication and artistic vision, bringing timeless elegance to those who wear my creations!
